Overnight Doula Support
Sleep Like a Baby
Having a newborn baby can be exhausting, both physically and mentally as you juggle their round the clock needs with your own. If you’re feeling exhausted and struggling with the lack of sleep, please know that you are not alone and that it won't be like this forever.
Sleep is one of our most basic human needs. It allows our brains to function effectively and is vital for our physical, emotional, and mental health and well-being. Rest and sleep are also important for your postnatal recovery and healing after birth. And yet getting enough sleep as a new parent can seem like an impossible task. This is where I can help!
Having some support overnight can aid your postnatal recovery and make a huge difference to how you are feeling. After a full night of sleep, you can wake up feeling energised, rested, and ready for a new day with your baby.
As your night doula, I am there to ensure everyone gets as much sleep as possible! Overnight support can also provide you with the opportunity to enjoy some time to yourself or with your partner in the evening, while I take care of your baby.
Upon my arrival, we will have a chat about how things are going and together we will work out the best way for me to support you overnight, whilst ensuring we maximise sleep for everyone.
I will sleep in the same room as your baby, responding to them and caring for them throughout the night.
Alongside caring for you baby, I will support you by offering gentle reassurance and time for you to share any concerns around the care of your baby or your postnatal experience. I can also share evidenced based information on newborn sleep and support you in understanding normal newborn behavior.
Overnight support can be purchased as a one-off service, or we can create a package of more consistent support. I am based in Berkhamsted and Tring and cover the surrounding areas in Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and North London.
